With one of the longest winters behind us – finally – I’m craving some light and fruity flavours. And with the weekend a mere hours away, my mind’s on cocktails. If you read my post on creating an elegant and easy Parisian Brunch, you know that I owe you a cocktail for brunch. And have I got the perfect one! My Gin and Jam Fizz, is easy, fruity and perfect for brunch.
There are only a few things I love more than brunch – my family and friends, design, travel … but then, it’s definitely brunch. In fact, I’ve often joked that if I do ever get married, I’ll serve brunch at the reception!
Why the intense love for Brunch? It always feels a bit classy and special – the bubbles probably have something to do with that 😉 The food options are literally doubled – breakfast and lunch to choose from, depending on the mood. And it usually lingers into the early afternoon. Rarely is anyone ever in a hurry to leave.
The first few months of 2018 have been a blur. And while it’s been thrilling to have new opportunities and business come in, it’s meant less time in the kitchen. Which for many may be a welcome change, but for someone who loves to bake as much as I do, it’s created a bit of void.
