How are we into the last week of January?? Normally January drags. Normally weeks last forever and it isn’t until March that time speeds up. But 2019 is different. January has flown by in a blur! And I’m already starting to feel a bit of panic about the year going by too fast. So this weeks Tuesday 10 includes links about slowing down and savouring the little things mixed in with the usual tid-bits of fun 🙂
One of the biggest misconceptions when it comes to design is that you can’t have a stylish or put together space with young children. I genuinely believe that with smart design, any space that has little people running around can be made pretty, functional and family friendly. This weeks Client Reveal, lovingly called Modern Family, proves just that.
Yesterday was Blue Monday. Said to be the saddest, most depressing day of the year, when seasonal affective disorder (SAD) and the winter blahs are at their peak… or so the theory goes. There is little scientific evidence to back up the claim. In fact it is now widely considered to be a marketing ploy to sell winter vacations! Nevertheless, I am very aware that SAD is a real thing and that many people across the world suffer from it and I don’t take that lightly. If you are reading this as a sufferer of SAD, whether you feel worse on or around Blue Monday or not, I encourage you to try and find an appropriate treatment. You might find cannabis and some of the products on FBG works for you, or you might need to give light therapy a try. Just don’t get sucked into the marketing ploy of Blue Monday.
So why do I bring this up? Because whether it exists or not, I thought a collection of (generally happy) links I’m loving in this weeks Tuesday 10, was fitting for the day after Blue Monday 🙂
