Since starting Patterns and Prosecco, I have had so many amazing opportunities and made so many discoveries. Chief among those was discovering how much I love photography. And given the amount of time I spend snapping pictures and editing it’s a good thing I do, because I can’t imagine nurturing this platform without that love and curiosity. Honestly, most days my camera feels like another appendage! Spending as much time with my camera as I do, I can’t even begin to articulate my excitement when I came across these gorgeous camera straps from JAK Designs.
Dinner tonight brings together two things I absolutely love – one pot meals and Nigella Lawson. I simply adore meals that can be prepared in one pot and if that pot is a slow cooker, as is the case for this Moroccan Chicken Stew, even better. And what’s not to love about Nigella Lawson, she is vivacious, classy, and gives us all permission to find joy and pleasure in our food. Her new book, Simply Nigella, is a beautiful compilation of uncomplicated recipes that are relaxed, but deeply satisfying.
Eeeep! Spring is in the air! Having lived in Calgary for the last 10 years I know better than to expect Spring’s arrival simply because the calendar says so, but I dare say this year we may actually experience spring on time! I spied tiny little green buds breaking through on the trees in my neighborhood the other day, which can mean only one thing – it’s time to talk decorating for spring!
This is definitely one of my favorite times of year, I simply love the freshness, newness and lightness of the season – three things I like to bring into my decor at this time of year as well!
