If you’re anything like me, fall and shorter days, means curling up with a warm cup of tea and a good book.  Truth be told, I often have many books on the go at the same time!  So I’m always misplacing bookmarks or creating make-shift ones out of receipts, business cards, or whatever else I find lying around the house.

Fall is without a doubt my favorite season, I love the colours, the fashion and the flavours.

I’m lucky, my living space is decorated in oranges, browns and golds, so transitioning to fall is easy.  Regardless of that palette you’ve chosen for your space, transitioning between season doesn’t have to be hard to break the bank. Pillow, throws and themed accessories are an easy go to, but just as easy is re-purposing things you already have, like this simple Mod Podge DIY.

I love having inspiring phrases and quotes around me, especially in my work space. And I love DIY projects. So this easy art piece is extra special and extra simple. It’s one of many DIY projects I’ve been thinking about doing for a long time. A friend of mine even suggested that I get a portable zink printer to help with any designs for my phrases, but I opted to do something a little more creative, which you will see later.

You’ll need a shadow box frame, spray paint in the colour of your choice, a glue gun and letters, I used wooden letters from the craft store, but the magnetic plastic ones from childhood would work great as well.
