Inspired Interiors: Cozy Character

If you’ve been here a while you’ll know my love of giving new life to previously loved, well lived in spaces. This weeks Inspired Interiors feature is just that. Built in 1899, this historic home is located in Hastings-on-Hudson—a quaint town along New York’s Hudson River. Designer Becca Casey of Becca Interiors chose to celebrate the history of the home by keeping its original integrity while implementing cosmetic changes and a fresh palette. Paint, texture, and modern accents create the perfect balance.

Inspired Interiors: Casual Sophistication

This weeks Inspired Interiors feature is a beautiful modern farmhouse in East Hampton. Designer Tamara Magel chose a beachy, eclectic, and sophisticated style. Playing to the natural surroundings she relied on textured fabrics and rugs. In the living room, a live edge table adds interest while photos from their friend Scott Rudin bring a dose of drama.

The result is a comfortable, organic space that exudes elegance and ease. My favourite kind of space.

When Anastasia Casey and her husband came across this Austin condo, she was immediately able to see past the gaudy, dated and dark decor to the potential the space held. A smart layout, ample storage and access to a pool, made purchasing the home a no brainier. Come along as we tour this weeks Inspired Interiors home, A Modern Cottage with heaps of charm.
