When it comes to decorating for the holidays, it’s easy to go overboard. For some that’s the name of their game, and I relish in their enthusiasm and joy. I however err on the side of simple, classic and neutral holiday decor. Layering in natural elements and a bit of sparkle to things I already have, to create an accessible and elegant celebration.
Designer Orsi Panos does just that in her own home and I couldn’t be more in love.
With the flip of the calendar to December, it’s going to be all things Christmas and holidays around here! Although, I have to say I feel a bit late to the game. Christmas seemed to arrived earlier than ever this year. Not that I’m complaining. It takes everything in me not to start posting about the holidays right after Halloween. In fact I read somewhere that those who decorate for the holidays early are happier than those who don’t. Good enough for me – let’s dive into today’s post on Decking the Halls.
Do you have a favorite holiday cookie? I love almost all cookies, but if I had to choose it’d be a tie between sugar cookies and gingersnaps. I love sugar cookies for decorating and soft and chewy gingersnaps are just the best. I’ve pulled together some of my favorite Holiday Cookies here for you, in case you’re still looking for something to bake 😉 Enjoy!
