I’m back from an incredible time in Las Vegas celebrating a friend’s Bachelorette and attending the Las Vegas Market, the largest Interior Design Show in North America. To say I’m buzzing with ideas and inspiration after seeing designers from the Las Vegas to Boston home remodeling industry is an understatement! I can’t wait to share more from the Market in the coming weeks, but until then, I’ll offer you this dose of inspiration with an amazing addition to my Inspired Interiors series. This home designed by House of Jade is what home goals and dreams are made of. Bold colours, rich patterns and wallpaper in nearly every room, these are designers after my own heart. Enjoy!
Rich navy grass cloth wallpaper creates a dramatic effect in the living room. With an abundance of natural light pouring in, the space feels bright and open despite the dark navy. That’s an important thing to remember when considering interior design. Darker rooms will need more natural lighting to make sure the room isn’t constantly dark. Perhaps some people should consider looking for some shutters, like these plantation window shutters London, for example. They would look lovely with an interior like this one. Perhaps they’re worth looking into. The art on the wall look beautiful but it could easily be swapped out for something like the tapestry at TapestryShopping, depending on the homeowner’s personal preference. Worn and textured pieces like the cane chairs and coffee table offset the modern and dramatic look of the sofas, to create a perfectly elegant, yet comfortable room.
The kitchen and dinning room are a photographers dream with clean white surfaces and once again, a tonne of natural light. The designers choose to keep both spaces natural and neutral and the result is one of the most serene dining rooms I’ve seen. There’s a beautiful use of the space; kitchen mats are a good option to bring in extra warmth, and a small one under the chairs helps soften the impact of that space beautifully.
The calm and soothing esthetic is carried into the Master Bedroom, where beautiful sea green grass cloth wallpaper add just enough texture against the gorgeous white mouldings. Brass elements, most notably the bed, help add a bit of glam and old world charm while keeping the space neutral.
The designers bought in more bold colours and patterns in wallpaper through the house, in the laundry room and children’s bedrooms.
The basement family room is kept fresh and airy with a subtle wallpaper and light furnishings. How amazing are these bookcases from One King Lane?!
