If you’ve been here a while you’ll know my love of giving new life to previously loved, well lived in spaces. This weeks Inspired Interiors feature is just that. Built in 1899, this historic home is located in Hastings-on-Hudson—a quaint town along New York’s Hudson River. Designer Becca Casey of Becca Interiors chose to celebrate the history of the home by keeping its original integrity while implementing cosmetic changes and a fresh palette. Paint, texture, and modern accents create the perfect balance.
In my experience, it’s not often when working with clients that the husband is the one with the more defined design esthetic, but that was just the case in our Renfrew project. As you’ve heard me say in years past, I’m not one to necessarily follow trends. But every year, I like to put together a list of my favourite upcoming trends. I find it to be a good way to broaden my perspective. Explore new ways of doing things. And clarify my aesthetic. So without further ado, here are some of my favourite 2020 Interior Design Trends.
