If you read my post on decking the halls this year, you know that I am craving simplicity and ease this holiday season. With parties, entertaining, shopping and decorating, the holiday’s are wonderfully busy enough. I wanted a space that was minimal and serene – a place to unwind and relax. This longing is perfectly captured in this years holiday table setting. A rustically sophisticated setting, perfect for gathering with friends and family.
The entire colour story for the space was inspired by pink dishes I spotted at IKEA. To them I added natural tones and textures, to create a look that is elegantly simple.
Rose gold flatware adds a touch of holiday sparkle.
Rather than doing an elaborate centerpiece or runner, I simply used seeded eucalyptus and silver dollar down the center of the table. I accented the muted greens with vases filled with chestnuts and hazelnuts. I adore how they look and the natural element and tone they add to the table.
A simple slit in each chestnut makes for the perfect way to hold a place card.
To contrast the earthy, natural feel of the table, I added contemporary, edgy glassware to enjoy holiday cheer with family and friends and toast the season.
