In my experience, it’s not often when working with clients that the husband is the one with the more defined design esthetic, but that was just the case in our Renfrew project. My client’s keen eye, appreciation for good design and practical sensibility – theirs is a home to two little people, with a third on the way and an adorable, albeit energetic dachshund – laid the foundation for the design.
While so much about the school year remains uncertain, one thing is for sure, it won’t look like any other before it. Whether it’s home schooling, physically distanced classes, or some hybrid of the two, kids will be home more than in previous years. Which means having a well designed space for them to learn, play and rest is more important than ever.
Today’s client reveal is probably one of my favourites to date. I’m so proud of this project, not only because it turned out beautifully, but because it tested me in so many ways – errors, delays and one too many broken mirrors! But my clients, the sweetest family, stuck through it all and I think I’m most grateful for that.
