Tuesday 10

January 21, 2019

Yesterday was Blue Monday. Said to be the saddest, most depressing day of the year, when seasonal affective disorder (SAD) and the winter blahs are at their peak… or so the theory goes. There is little scientific evidence to back up the claim. In fact it is now widely considered to be a marketing ploy to sell winter vacations! Nevertheless, I am very aware that SAD is a real thing and that many people across the world suffer from it and I don’t take that lightly. If you are reading this as a sufferer of SAD, whether you feel worse on or around Blue Monday or not, I encourage you to try and find an appropriate treatment. You might find cannabis and some of the products on FBG works for you, or you might need to give light therapy a try. Just don’t get sucked into the marketing ploy of Blue Monday.

So why do I bring this up? Because whether it exists or not, I thought a collection of (generally happy) links I’m loving in this weeks Tuesday 10, was fitting for the day after Blue Monday 🙂

  1. If like me one of your goals is to read more, this may be all the motivation you need.
  2. Happy coincidences caught on camera in New York City.
  3. I’ve been wanting to create a capsule wardrobe for a while now. A collection of clothing staples that work well together and that I don’t have to think too much about. But whenever I start to think about it, I get overwhelmed and put it off. This link breaks it down, month by month, complete with suggestions!
  4. The quickest way out of a spiral of doubt.
  5. I can’t wait to get my hands on this.
  6. Obsessed with these.
  7. My favourite jewelry line has just released candles!
  8. Feathers like you’ve never seen before.
  9. Why now might be the right time to … get a little weird.
  10. A girl after my own heart.
