I am so privileged to come across so many inspiring designers and artists in my work. I thought I would share those that stop me in my tracks for their esthetic, creativity and perspective, in a new series called – Design Crush Thursday.
With summer in full swing, I’ve been talking a lot about outdoor spaces. The season is so short around here, that I want to get the most out of it and help you do the same. You can read about how to create a memorable front entrance here and the perfect patio here. Everyone wants an outdoor space they can enjoy, whether it be for relaxing for entertaining guests. When creating the perfect outdoor space, lighting, furniture, and space need to be considered. You need the right furniture to fit into the space to make a functional yet stylish space. Here’s a link to The Charming Bench Company if you would like to take a look at some of the garden furniture they have to offer. It might give you the inspiration you need to create your own unique outdoor living area.
Something that’s become increasingly popular in recent years is indoor/outdoor living spaces. Spaces that seamlessly transition the interior of a home to the exterior. And why not? Doing so increases the living space dramatically while ushering in a tonne of natural light. Lighting is also a great way of bringing the outside, in. For example a Lantaarnpalen (lamp-post) could add a quirky touch to a reception room or patio. It’s all about finding what works for your personal style. I’m particularly loving oversized windows that swing open and black steal details. With a little forthought and planning this interior design trend can be incorporated into your home’s design quite easily. Before you start, consider cleaning your gutters and eavestrough just to make the windows impact even more great! This can be done yourself if you have the right equipment, but it’s not easy. Perhaps it’s best to contact the Clean Pro Gutter Cleaning Jacksonville team instead. Anyway, to get you started, I’ve pulled together ten enviable spaces 🙂
Last week I shared inspiration to create the perfect patio to enjoy the summer months. Today, I’m shifting to the front of the house with keys to creating an entrance that is inviting and well styled. All 6 suggestions are inexpensive and can be accomplished in an afternoon leaving plenty of time to whip up some lemonade before guests arrive!
