I’m not sure if you’ve noticed, but I love a neutral and organic interior. To me nothing feels fresher and more relaxing. Designer Lisa Sherry created just that vibe in this weeks Inspired Interiors feature. Transforming it into her client’s forever home in the process. Overly elegant architectural details and don’t-touch Romanesque decorating was replaced with family friendly, real life design. Including pieces that marry function and aesthetic – the best kind in my opinion. Because a space shouldn’t be so delicate that you can’t kick up your feet, relax and be yourself!
While summer is gorgeous here in Southern Alberta (when it eventually arrives), there is nothing like time spent at the beach during the summer months. And if that time includes a stay at a gorgeous beach house, like today’s inspired interiors feature – even better! Kate Marker brings together comfort and beauty masterfully. A custom kitchen and thoughtful, well-appointed details and finishes creates a space that is breath-taking to say the least. Wanna move in? You’re in luck – you can rent this gorgeous home for yourself! Race you! 😉
Try as I might, there is no denying I’m drawn to traditional design elements. Architectural details like moldings and paneling, tufting, florals and antiques like these antique desk lamps – yes please. So it’ll come as no surprise that I chose this 1830s Greek Revival home to feature as this week’s inspired interiors post.
