Fall is most definitely in the air and while I do love this time of year, up until now it’s been a bit of an anxious love – a reminder that winter is just around the corner. The angst is compounded by the fact that in recent years our falls have been so short lived and usually punctuated by a brutal snow storm.
Well before I dive into Christmas baking, I thought I would enjoy a classic fall treat on this last Sunday in November.
Apple Crisp is nostalgic for me, not much of a baker, it’s one of the few things my Mom did bake growing up. And every time I make it, I understand why – it’s so darn easy! Simple ingredients, the more rustic the better, virtually impossible to mess up!
I found these adorable maple leaf dishes and divided the recipe among four of them. But it tastes just as good baked in a conventional baking dish, I promise 😉
It is the season of the gourd, none more popular than the pumpkin! I’ve resisted flooding the blog and you with pumpkin recipes, but now that we’re well into November, I figure it’s fair game 😉
These muffins are the perfect Sunday morning treat. They are hearty, so you’ll have something delicious and filling to run out the door with on Monday morning – bonus! A sure fire way to beat the Monday blues!
