The summer has flown by and I sadly have not made it one campfire or fire-pit all season! While truthfully my desire to sit fireside has been damped by all the smoke in the air from the devastating BC fires, I’ve sure missed enjoying a s’more or two! So, I’ve decided to take matters into my own hands this week with a S’mores Pie – no fire necessary. Well, no open fires that is, you’ll need a kitchen torch to flame the meringue 😉
I call 900 square feet home, so I’m always intrigued by small spaces. In particular how they’re designed, used and organized. Today’s Inspired Interiors home tour is not only a small space (900 square feet just like me!), but a Victorian home in one of my favourite city’s – San Francisco. Oh and it has a pink exterior! When it comes to small spaces, every inch counts. The How To Crew and similar sources are really helpful when it comes to inventive ways of utilizing every wall and corner. In these kinds of homes, it is important to have setups that can be multi-functional to cater to the needs of daily life.
Cottage season is in full swing. And while out west we tend to call summer homes cabins, in the east they’re known as cottages. And some of the most spectacular cottages are found in Muskoka, on Georgian Bay off Lake Huron in Ontario. While I’ve never actually been and this summer is shaping up to be one of the busiest – work-wise – I thought I’d escape to the lake virtually with this weeks inspired interiors feature.
