Gatherings and cocktails are basically synonyms to me. I love both equally and one rarely happens without the other.
With Thanksgiving, one of my favourite times of year to gather with loved ones days away, this cocktail could not be more perfect – a delicious marriage of apple and pumpkin pie – absolute perfection. And it’s made with Pumpkin Beer! Which until a week ago, I didn’t even know existed. Not typically a beer drinker, Pumpkin Beer is lovely – my new fall beer without question!
Fall not only brings with it beautiful colours, flavours and layers, but the spirit of gathering – gathering of harvests and gathering with friends and family. For me there is nothing more joyous that sharing a meal, good conversation and laughter with loved ones, so Thanksgiving is especially important.
As we near Thanksgiving weekend, I start getting excited about the coming together of those I love and the sharing of a gorgeous meal, capped off with my absolute favourite – Pumpkin Pie.
The pie is always what I’m in charge of for our Thanksgiving meal, I like to think it’s because everyone knows my joy of baking and well, this Pecan Glazed Pumpkin Pie is just that good. Enjoy!
