Ghostly Shots and Sparkling Skull Punch

IMG_5215 I love Halloween for so many reasons, most of all the displays of creativity – in costumes, decorations and entertaining.

Because a party isn’t complete without a signature cocktail or two, here are two cocktail ideas for your spookiest Halloween bash.

Ghostly Ice Cream Shots

Ingredients
Splash of milk (of your choice)
3 scoops of vanilla ice cream
Dollop of whipped cream
2 ounces of creme de cacoa
Honey for the rim
Black sanding sugar for garnish

Directions

Mix together all of the ingredients and blend.

For the rim, dip this glasses in honey and then dip them in black sanding sugar. Fill each glass and serve immediately.

Sparkling Skull Punch

Ingredients
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
2 750-ml bottles chilled brut Champagne
1 1/2 cups white rum
1 1/4 cups pomegranate juice
Pomegranate seeds
Ice

Directions

Bring 1/2 cup water and sugar to boil in small saucepan, stirring until sugar dissolves. Simmer 5 minutes. Cool syrup completely.

Combine Champagne, rum, and pomegranate juice in punch bowl. Add enough syrup to sweeten to taste. Mix in pomegranate seeds and ice. Enjoy!
