When I first delved into the world of interiors – professionally – I struggled with what to call myself. I hesitated to call myself a designer as I’m not formally trained and decorator didn’t quite feel right. It’s only been in the last few months that I’ve come up a title – Stylist. I style spaces. From finishes to furnishing to accessories, I style. I’m an interior stylist.
Try as I might, there is no denying I’m drawn to traditional design elements. Architectural details like moldings and paneling, tufting, florals and antiques like these antique desk lamps – yes please. So it’ll come as no surprise that I chose this 1830s Greek Revival home to feature as this week’s inspired interiors post.
With one of the longest winters behind us – finally – I’m craving some light and fruity flavours. And with the weekend a mere hours away, my mind’s on cocktails.
