Sips

Lavender Lemon Martini

lavender lemon martini

I’ve shared before how my love of lemon as grown over the years, lemon in water, lemon desserts and lemony Friday night sips like lemon drops, limoncello, and now this Lavender Lemon Martini.

I knew the moment I took a cutting from my parents lavender bush, I wanted to use it in a cocktail.  A simple lavender infused syrup pairs perfectly with a tart lemonade.  Refreshing and with only three ingredients, so easy to make.  Be warned though, these go down really easy – perfect for a long weekend 😉 Happy Friday Friends!

Ingredients

Lavender Simple Syrup
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
6 sprigs of lavender

Cocktail
1/2 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice
4 oz vodka, chilled

Directions

Lavender Simple Syrup

Combine the sugar and water in a pot on the stove and bring to a boil; cook only until the sugar is dissolved. Add lavender sprigs and allow to cool completely, stirring occasionally. Strain through a fine mesh sieve and set aside.

Cocktail

Rim the edge of two martini glasses with a lemon slice and dip the edge into sugar.

Add lavender simple syrup to a cocktail shaker filled with ice and add the lemon juice and vodka. Shake until VERY cold.

Pour the lemon/vodka mixture through a strainer into a cocktail glass. Garnish with lavender sprigs and enjoy!
