If you’ve followed along for a while, you’ll know that I love the warmth and grounding wood adds to a space. In recent years the trend was towards washed out stains that always fell a bit flat for me. I’m excited to see a return to gorgeous medium-toned woods, that ooze depth and character. I’ve rounded up some of my favourite inspiration below.

Built in 1899, this historic home is located in Hastings-on-Hudson—a quaint town along New York’s Hudson River. Designer Becca Casey of Becca Interiors chose to celebrate the history of the home by keeping its original integrity while implementing cosmetic changes and a fresh palette.
